Front of House (FOH) Assistant – Full Time

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Front of House Assistant to join our team. As the face of our takeaway and café area, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and creating a warm, welcoming experience for every visitor.
Working as part of a supportive team in our vibrant Takeaway, you will help ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and service.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, welcoming experience
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and allergens
- Handle customer payments with care and accuracy
- Resolve customer concerns politely and professionally
Food & Beverage Service
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages to company standards
- Serve food items in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Restock and rotate stock, minimizing waste
Cleanliness & Organisation
- Maintain cleanliness of all takeaway areas, including counters, equipment, indoor seating areas, and outdoor seating spaces
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times (including wearing aprons, keeping hair tied back, regular hand washing, and adhering to food safety practices)
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including completing daily HACCP checks
Team Support
- Work collaboratively with all team members across all departments
- Follow instructions from supervisors and managers
- Support smooth daily operations during busy periods
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic cash handling experience
- Good time management and attention to detail
