Front of House (FOH) Assistant – Full Time

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Front of House Assistant to join our team. As the face of our takeaway and café area, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and creating a warm, welcoming experience for every visitor.

Working as part of a supportive team in our vibrant Takeaway, you will help ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and service.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, welcoming experience
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and allergens
Handle customer payments with care and accuracy
Resolve customer concerns politely and professionally

Food & Beverage Service

Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages to company standards
Serve food items in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
Restock and rotate stock, minimizing waste

Cleanliness & Organisation

Maintain cleanliness of all takeaway areas, including counters, equipment, indoor seating areas, and outdoor seating spaces
Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times (including wearing aprons, keeping hair tied back, regular hand washing, and adhering to food safety practices)
Assist with opening and closing duties, including completing daily HACCP checks

Team Support

Work collaboratively with all team members across all departments
Follow instructions from supervisors and managers
Support smooth daily operations during busy periods

Skills & Qualifications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Basic cash handling experience
Good time management and attention to detail
